By the end of this module, you will be able to:
- Provide the rationale and requirements for ongoing and continuing REB review.
- Identify and describe the types of ongoing and continuing REB review requests and reports including amendments, protocol deviations, renewals, adverse events and study completions.
- Describe the process by which ongoing and continuing ethics submissions are assigned for delegated and Full Board review.
- Detail other types of post-approval activities including audits, monitoring and site visits.
- Explain what should happen if there is a lapse in REB review.
- Consider when the RCR office or personnel needs to be consulted and allegations of research non-compliance may be required.

- Explain the mandate and composition of the Research Ethics Board (REB).
- Provide an overview of the ethics review process from initiation to completion.
