By the end of this module, you will be able to:
- Identify main stakeholder groups, roles and relationships
- Describe benefits and potential conflicts from members representing more than one group and ways to maximize benefits and prevent conflicts
- Review a list of resource types that should be used in training and orientation of new REB members
- Create a list of communication tools for various audiences and stakeholders through the REB review process
- Consider a file management plan and archiving schedule for all correspondence that aligns with regulatory requirements and institutional policies

- Explain the importance of research ethics reviews in protecting participants, ensuring research integrity, and upholding societal trust in research.
- Describe which types of research projects require ethics review and which are exempt.
- Explain the mandate and composition of the Research Ethics Board (REB).
- Provide an overview of the ethics review process from initiation to completion.
